MP Gareth Snell celebrates British Beauty Week 2026

Gareth Snell, MP for Stoke-on-Trent Central, is calling on residents to nominate their favourite personal care business for one of his Small Business Awards as part of celebrations for British Beauty Week.

The British Beauty Council’s Value of Beauty (June 2026) report estimates that the beauty and personal care industry directly contributed £28.3 billion to UK GDP in 2025 and supporting 595,000 jobs on every high street in the UK.

Last year, the sector supported 5,730 new apprentices take the first step in their careers across the UK.

Gareth said: “”Our local beauty businesses are at the heart of our high streets, helping communities thrive, creating employment opportunities and giving people the chance to build successful careers. I will always champion the sector, and I encourage everyone to nominate their favourite beauty business in my Small Business Awards to recognise the fantastic work they do.”
